EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK SECTION 4: REMOTE WORK AND TIME OFF

4.1 REMOTE WORK
TruePaddock, Inc. operates as a remote-first company. All full-time employees may work from any location within the same time zone band as their team (defined as plus or minus three hours from the team's published core hours). Employees are required to be online and reachable during core hours, which are 10:00 to 15:00 in their team's primary time zone.

Employees may request to relocate outside their team's time zone band with 60 days' notice. Such requests are reviewed for legal and tax implications and require manager approval.

4.2 PAID TIME OFF
Full-time employees accrue 20 days of paid vacation per calendar year, prorated by start date. Vacation accrues monthly and may be carried forward up to 5 days into the next calendar year. Carried days expire on March 31.

Employees are required to take at least 10 days of vacation per year. Managers will check in quarterly with any team member who has not used at least 5 days by the midpoint of the year.

4.3 SICK LEAVE
There is no fixed cap on sick leave. Employees should notify their manager and post in their team channel by the start of their workday if they are unable to work due to illness. A doctor's note is not required for absences of three consecutive days or fewer.

4.4 PARENTAL LEAVE
New parents are entitled to 16 weeks of paid leave at full salary, regardless of role or tenure. Leave must be taken in a single continuous block beginning within 12 months of the birth or placement of the child.

4.5 BEREAVEMENT
Up to 5 days of paid bereavement leave per occurrence for the loss of an immediate family member. Additional unpaid leave may be requested through HR.
